It’s the time of year in the east where the apples are coming in and your local farms are your best bet! The farm stand 7 minutes away from us, Richardson’s farm,the home of Sue’s Kitchen. They have Northwest Greening apples which make great pectin! I just made a batch of Jalapeno Mint jelly and canned 6 pints of pectin.
Tomorrow I have to make Pear and Clementine chutney, roasted tomato passata and make some White pumpkin marmalade with ginger. On Sunday I have to work on Pickled Pears, lots of pickled pears . We need to kick the sheep and goats out of the front yard so I can pick more pears without being harassed!
