The Winter Market will be at Gould Hill Orchard!!! The first winter market will be in November and run till May, Saturdays 10am-1pm. We will have a wood stove going and the vendors have the advantage of using the walk-in cold storage! For us there will be no need for a trailer with our freezer in the winter!!!!! We will have a variety of
jams,jellies,marmalade’s,pickles,relishes and condiments (ketchup & chutneys).
Must get back to the Kitchen-
The canning kettle is still going and never seems to be off the stove. I processed the last of my pears and made 18-1/2 pint jars of Savory Pear Relish and there are no Bosc Pears left anywhere! Tomorrow I need to cut up and freeze all the produce I helped to strip from the garden before the frost on Friday night. I have one 5 gallon bucket of tomatillos and 1/2 a 5 gallon bucket of green peppers.
Once the counters are clear I will be primarily cooking , chopping or watching cranberries drip! I still have 5 quarts of Blueberries in my freezer, but I will wait to process them later in the month, when I am not chasing cranberries across the counter!
