Yes, I am still canning! I have found another use for white pumpkin……….White Pumpkin & Ginger Marmalade! I thought the White Pumpkin Marmalade was good, but with the addition of ginger,it is spectacular!.
Since my last post I have made:
zucchini pickles,Indian style cucumber relish,Zucchini fennel relish,barbecue relish ,white pumpkin Marmalade,homemade apple pectin and pickled peaches.
Yesterday my husband and I picked 45lbs of pears from our Bosc pear tree in the front yard. They need to ripen a bit before I use them and there are at least 75-100 lbs left on the tree.
Remember you can preserve a bit of summer yourself , when you go to the farmers Market , farm stand or pick your own buy what is in season. You can freeze many items with great results and can do basic canning with the minimum amount of time and equipment.
